Catholicism is beautiful. Tradition is beautiful. At no time is this more evident than during the Sacred Triduum, those three days at the end of Passiontide when the Church commemorates Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday. Regardless of the current crisis and ongoing confusion in the Church today, the resurgence of tradition is providing much needed liturgical stability and doctrinal clarity for an increasing number of the faithful.

This has indeed been the case in my home Diocese of Charlotte, North Carolina. For the second consecutive year a traditional Easter Triduum was offered in the chapel at the Catholic High School. These sacred liturgies have been both beautiful and efficacious for all involved.
