Solemn High Mass with Bishop Peter Jugis in Choir

For the fourth consecutive year Bishop Peter J. Jugis will sit in choir at a Solemn High Mass for the Feast of St. Ann on Saturday, July 26. Once again this year the mass will be celebrated at St. Ann Catholic Church, which has been offering the Traditional Latin Mass since May 2008, and a weekly Sunday Latin Mass since March 2013.

The Charlotte Latin Mass community greatly appreciates the ongoing and very public support for the traditional Mass demonstrated by His Excellency. The recognition of Summorum Pontificum and the recovery of liturgical continuity in the Roman Rite continues in dioceses such as Charlotte where tradition is embraced and the Latin Mass regularly offered.

This beautifully produced video is from the Solemn High Mass for the Feast of St. Ann back in 2011. Father Timothy Reid is the celebrant in the video, with Fathers Matthew Kauth and Jason Christian serving as deacon and sub-deacon respectively. All three men are priests of the Diocese of Charlotte.

Absolutely stunning. I pray that more and more the Traditional Mass and Liturgy will be available in my local area of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
